If you are interested in becoming a Purrmore client, fill out the Contact Us form, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. If we can be a good fit for your needs based on the initial information you provide, we will schedule a Meet and Greet consultation, so that we can learn more about your cats’ care needs, and you can get to know us and make sure we are the right fit for you.
-
After our Meet and Greet, if it is determined that we are a good fit and you would like to move forward and become a Purrmore client, I will add you to the Client Portal and you will receive an email asking you to activate your account. You will be able to add care and contact information in the client portal. You will also be able to request services. If your cat needs medication, we may schedule additional training meetings before you travel to ensure your cat is comfortable with me giving them their medication using Fear Free methods.
You will also need to fill out some paperwork, including a client agreement and a veterinary release form.

Before I can care for your cat, I require a Meet and Greet consultation and an onboarding process. The probability that I will have availability to complete the onboarding process on a short notice is low. My ability to provide services on a short notice also depends on availability. This is especially true during busy times of the year, such as holidays or during the summer. If you are interested in become a Purrmore client, it is recommended that you contact us at least three weeks before any planned travel.

Every cat has different preferences and needs, and I adjust according to your cat’s needs and your care instructions. Typically, I make sure your cat has fresh food and water and a clean litter box, make sure everything is in order, and clean up messes. The rest of the visit is dedicated to enrichment, which depends on your cat’s preference.
-
There is no strict time limit for a visit, it depends on your cat. Some cats want me to put down their food and leave, while others would like to nap in my lap for a while or want some extra playtime. I do my best to adjust my schedule accordingly to allow your cat to have as much time as they need. I find that for most cats, this ranges between 30 and 45 minutes.

I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers. I passed the Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) exam, a knowledge-assessed certification exam for professional pet sitters, administered by PSI. As a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, I am committed to continuing education throughout my career, and I constantly take on opportunities to improve my knowledge on topics such as cat care, cat behavior, and business management, to make sure I provide the best possible care for your cat and the best service for you.

I am passionate about helping cats live their best lives possible.
I was trained by the Humane Society of the United States in Cat Behavior and Retention, and have helped cat owners with behavior issues as part of a behavior support team at a cat shelter. I constantly thrive to learn more about different topics and emerging research about cat behavior, .
If you have concerns about your cat’s behavior, I can provide some guidance and will be happy to share resources and information. However, I am not a certified behaviorist, so if I recognize that the issue requires a more qualified professional, I will recommend resources for finding a veterinary behaviorist or a certified behavior consultant.
You can read some tips on cat care and behavior on my blog.

Peace of Mind for You and Your Cat is not just a tagline; it’s my philosophy. As of fall 2021, I have been certified as a Fear Free Certified Professional (Pet Sitter). The certification enables me to improve the quality of care I provide to your cat. This is particularly important when your cat requires medication. In this article, I share the four pillars of giving medicine with recommendations for implementation.
