Purrmore Response to COVID-19

These are challenging times. All plans have been cancelled, and no one knows when we’ll be able to get back to normal. While most of us stay home, healthcare and other essential employees are putting their own health and safety at risk.

At Purrmore, we understand the difficulties that our clients and their pets are facing during these difficult times. We are following the restrictions advised by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston while doing the best we can for our clients, and going further for healthcare and essential workers.

  • During the pandemic, we are waving all cancellation fees.

  • In order to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, we are not taking on any new bookings for drop-in visits for the duration of the pandemic. Some exceptions apply for essential workers (see below).

  • To maintain physical distancing requirements, we are not taking on any in-person meet and greet consultations. However, we are able to set up a video call if needed.

  • The list of essential businesses in Massachusetts is vague with regard to pet sitting services. However, if the need arises for a cat that requires medication, or for a client who is a healthcare or essential worker, we will make sure to get the required approval to operate in order to help our clients.

  • If we need to visit a client’s home during this time, we will take the necessary precautions, including wearing gloves for the duration of the visit and disinfecting any surfaces that we touch.

With all this in mind, we are happy that our cats get to spend more time with their human families. Our cats are an endless source of serenity during stressful times. It is important to remember that per the CDC information, humans cannot be infected from pets, making our cats a safe and loving companions.

If you have any questions regarding our response, or need any assistance with cat care. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
